Dior

Gifted designer Christian Dior’s fashion house took off in the post WWII consumer boom. Establishing himself in 1946, he designed avant-garde ladies collections. By 1957, the year of his untimely death at age 52, he was responsible for over half of France’s haute couture exports. His fashion house continued to thrive. The first Dior watches were introduced in 1975. The Dior Watchmaking Workshops, founded in 2001 in La Chaux-de-Fonds, work with the finest specialists including movement designers, dial makers, jewel setters and more. Ranges include the masculine appeal of Dior Chiffre Rouge to the latest VIII, representing October 8th, the date the brand was founded.
