Jaeger-LeCoultre is one of the longest established watch brands in Switzerland with a luxury watch and clock manufacture based in Le Sentier which dates back to the early 19th century. Founder Antoine LeCoultre was one of the most talented horologists of his generation. The highly regarded brand is responsible for some of the world’s most revered and collectible watches including The Reverso, invented in the 1930s for British Army officers who wished to play polo without damaging their time pieces, the Reverso can be flipped so that the dial is covered. The brand also boasts the world’s smallest calibre, as well as the world’s most complicated wristwatch. Part of the Richemont Group since the dawn of the millennium, Jaeger-LeCoultre has produced well over 1000 calibres and registered 400 patents. Other collections for which the brand is famous include the Master Compressor and the Duometre, as well as AMVOX, a joint venture with Aston Martin.
