Is there a more conceptually outlandish watch designer in Switzerland or the world today? There is but an elite handful that have the distinct RJ stamp of high impact luxury appeal coupled with the haute horology craftsmanship and technological skill. The brand was established in Geneva in 2004, and quickly developed its reputation with the “DNA of famous legends” series of watches, incorporating particles from famous items such as the Statue of Liberty and the Titanic, as well as dust from the moon and placing them into a themed watch. Other successes have followed including the remarkable Steampunk series, and the nostalgically inspired pieces such as the PAC Man and Space Invaders. You can never be sure what to expect next from Romain Jerome, but it will always be newsworthy and driven by the passions that powerfully resonate with many collectors of the same generation.
