Samsung proudly announces the launch of the Gear S collection later this fall. The smart watches are capable of functioning independently of a smartphone or any 3rd party gadget, since they are equipped with a SIM card. The wearer can place calls, or send text messages without associating the smart watch with any other mobile device. Gear S incorporates the S Health workout assistant, allowing the wearer to count steps, track plenty of fitness data and easily plan and follow jogging routes. Some technical specifications of the smart watch include 4 GB storage, 512 MB RAM, dual core 1GHz processor, and even a UV sensor.
